Today, new rules to combat the safety risks posed by fatigued pilots have been proposed by EASA, the European Aviation Safety Agency. While the Agency makes urgently needed improvements to its initial proposal of Dec. 2010, more needs to be done to protect air passenger safety.

MONTRÉAL 14 Jul: The International Federation of Airline Pilots’ Associations (IFALPA), The International Air Transport Association (IATA), and The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), today announced the release of a Fatigue Risk Management Systems (FRMS) Implementation Guide for commercial aircraft operators.

The right to vote is a fundamental democratic right which must be guaranteed!
In November 2008, the company Cargolux organized the elections of its employees’ delegation in such a way as to guarantee that the entire staff had the possibility of enjoying one of the fundamental democratic rights, namely their right to vote for effective representation of their interests within the company. Notwithstanding a great many difficulties, this was ensured by arranging to have the elections of the delegation conducted in close “verbal” collaboration with the Inspectorate of Labor and Mines (ITM).
